Do NOT pay for them.

I learned this the hard way, so pleeeeease listen to my wisdom on this. Money can majorly F*cK up relationships. It can create resentment and expectations that never should have been set in the first place. Let’s talk about this:

Having a generous heart is a beautiful thing! But it is NOT your responsibility to pay for your friends, family, or peers.

Sure, it's nice to pick up the tab sometimes! But be wary of when this becomes a routine. People will easily take advantage of your kindness if you are quick to offer it in or most situations.

Ever notice how you offer to pay but the other person doesn’t? And it’s allllways because “I can’t!” because you have more $. NOBODY IS ENTITLED TO YOUR MONEY. or to your time or kindness, financial or not.

As young person with not a lot of money myself, I found it very frustrating when my friends started to expect me to pay for them. I even had a partner who expected me to pay for EVERYTHING.

And guess what? My partner ended up owing me $4000 which took forever to get back!

So be careful of who you trust with your money and don't pay for them!
