Dior Forever Foundation, Worth It? Transfer Proof?

My first ever makeup review coming through 🙈. This foundation is originally released in 2007, but it is being formulated over the years. Since I have not tried the previous formulations, I can only share my take on their latest version which was launched last year, in 2022. Designed to be more sustainable with a more eco friendly bottle made from 15% recycled glass, with its signature classy CD matte black cap ✨

In terms of ingredients - the latest version is stated to be infused with antioxidant-rich iris extract, refining rose extract and hydrating pansy extract which is supposed to improvised the texture of your skin. You have to be careful if you’re allergic to fragrances or floral extracts in skincare or makeup as this might not be for you. Another amazing benefit is that it comes with SPF 20/PA++ but it’s always recommended to wear a proper sunscreen with higher SPF underneath 🌞

The consistency is a lightweight creamy texture that sets off quite quickly in my experience. However it is buildable yet do not appear cakey even after a few layers, it still appears smooth on the skin. I love the fact that it doesn’t cling on your facial lines or pores that much, and very minimal creasing. Coverage wise, I can say it’s more towards medium.

The foundation somewhat oxidized a little which I think is pretty normal for our hot & humid climate, I would recommend to test out the shade in person so you’ll find the perfect match after oxidization. The shade 1W really matches well with my skintone as I’m more on the warmer undertone.

Can we start discussing about the lasting power of this foundation? I think it should be the highlight, as the lasting & staying power is impressive 👏🏻 I can wear this all day without having to touch it up and the finishing stays flawless on the skin! It might not be 💯 transfer proof but it didn’t transfer easily onto my scarf, clothes or mask while wearing it and that is such a plus point! You can lean or hug with your loved ones without worries!

Well considering it being on the higher price range, a little goes a long way, I do feel that it is worth to invest on this for the features and you only need to use a small amount to cover the whole face 👍🏻
