How to Hack Box Cake Mix

This is one of my favorite baking hacks! Every time I use this trick I get so many compliments on my cakes/cupcakes and people always assume that they are made from scratch. All it takes is a few ingredient replacements and additions.

Substitutions:

•Instead of water use milk

•Instead of oil use butter

Additions:

•1 extra egg

•1/4 cup sour cream

•1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Another great thing to add to box cake mixes is cook and serve pudding powder which keeps the cake super moist and there’s so many possibilities with mixing and matching flavors!
