my 10/10 books🫶🍋

my FAV 10/10 book recs!!

#1 - the selection series: this series is what brought me out of my reading slump. kiera cass will forever be my favorite author because of this series. it’s the perfect balance of fantasy/YA romance since i am NOT a fantasy fan. it’s so swoon worthy and will definitely keep you on your toes with every twist. ps. i have read the heir and the crown, and while i did like them i would be perfectly content with just reading the first 3 of the series.

#2 - the betrothed/ betrayed: ofc i had to add another kiera cass series. this duo definitely competes with the selection for my number 1 favorite. once again cass has the perfect fantasy balance for us non gore fans. the first book has a love triangle/ royal drama, and the second book has tragedy/ enemies to lovers (which is slowly becoming my favorite trope) i love how cass made me have a love/hate relationship with hollis.

i will forever recommend this duo to anybody and everybody.

#3 - love and gelato: omg this book had me hooked! it’s the perfect start to summer read especially for those like me who love travel (especially Italy). i was rooting for ren from the very beginning and i love the slow burn/ mini love triangle too. lina kinda got on my nerves at times, i can’t really explain why haha i guess it’s just me. i think love and gelato was head and shoulders above the two companion books. i was definitely not a fan of love & luck. i think it’s just too slow paced for me. but all in all love & gelato was a very good read and is definitely a read

#4 - love and other great expectations: ok this book had me very skeptical at first because i had seen very mixed reviews about it. but i absolutely fell in love with this book! every single chapter was amazing. i loved the comments here and there about famous books like persuasion and oliver twist. this book was sooo swoon worthy and alex was my FAVORITE character she was such a mood lol. i only wish we could have had more of an epilogue i really would have liked to see more of brit and luke’s relationship. but i still LOVE this book!!

#5 - the lost children: i bought this book almost 2 years ago and i have read it 3 times since. after reading this book i went out and bought all of shirley dickson’s books. she is easily a favorite of mine. this book had me absolutely hooked and i couldn’t put it down. it was so heartbreaking and tragic but at the same time it was heartwarming to see molly and jacob take care of each other no matter what. i love every single aspect of this book and it is an absolute MUST read for all ww2 fiction fans like myself.

6 - the secret of pembrook park: a historical romance favorite!! julie klassen has always and will always be one of my favorites. this book has so many tropes inside of it. my copy is a little damaged, as i’ve had it for about 6 years. i love all things mystery/ suspense and this book has the perfect mix of it in with romance. i will forever love klassen’s clean historical romance books and this one is without a doubt my favorite. there was no way i could have seen the ending coming. if you love mystery/ suspense + christian/clean romance this book is for YOU!!

7- sunkissed: this was my first kasie west book and since then i have bought almost every single book of hers. i love how clean and sweet her books are. sun kissed had the most perfect summer vibe and i loved avery and her sister’s relationship build in this story. the only thing i did not like was i honestly did not want avery to forgive her backstabbing best friend with no questions or anything haha i know that’s controversial and everyone had their own opinion on that. but i absolutely adore kasie west and will always be her top fan!!
