⭐️ Plot Overview ⭐️

Kya Clark is known as the marsh girl— a mysterious figure that lives along the marsh of Barkley cove. Her peers demonize her and tease her, although she is just a girl who finds her place amongst nature. She grew up with nothing and no one to rely on, causing her to become resourceful. She’s more intelligent than people give her credit for.

One day, beloved hometown boy Chase Andrews, is found dead. Of course, the people of the town pin in on Kya. She finds herself in the midst of a trial. Did she do it? What secrets of the marsh will be unleashed?

⭐️ My Thoughts ⭐️

This book was so highly anticipated that I think my expectations were too high going into it. I wish I had liked it as much as a lot of others did. I hadn’t read a period piece like this in such a long time. Each character was really well developed but I found it hard to get though at time. Although, it was a good story with a KILLER ending. By far the best part!
