⭐️ Plot Overview ⭐️

Carrie Soto is a women’s tennis legend. With the record for most Grand Slams, she has cemented her place as a force to be reckoned with. So much so, that she has retired. That is until a young up-and-comer threatens that reputation. Carrie watches as her record is encroached upon. As Nicki nears her record she is faced with a choice— stay in retirement and watch her record slip away or exit retirement and train once again.

When she decides to come out of retirement the odds are against her. She is older than any woman on the tour. Is her best even good enough? This story tells the tale of her return to tennis and her attempt to save her record.

⭐️ My Thoughts ⭐️

This was my most recent TJR read! Just like all of her other books, I loved it. The story was incredibly well told and showed the passion Carrie had for the sport of tennis. With sports books I often worry that the content wont be detailed or accurate to the sport but she went into incredible description! The book truly revolved around tennis. Additionally, the relationship portrayed in the book were so lovely and genuine. I wouldn't change a thing about it.
