Clean Date 11/20/20

My husband and I both are recovery addicts. We met in 2008 at a rehab and we have both been on a roller coaster ride since then. We had 8 yrs clean at one point and then we relapsed and then I went to rehab again and I had two years clean and he moved to Cincinnati and came each week and visited me in rehab while he worked and stayed clean then when I moved up here with him we stayed clean for a little over two yrs then relapsed and it was so hard on we lost our house and then went to a family shelter got a apartment and the Salvation Army paid our rent for two yrs during that time we used drugs lost our kids and eventually our apartment but during that time I ran the streets we used for over a yr and half and eventually we lost that place and ran the streets for a month or two and then we separated and he moved in with his ex wife and I went to rehab in Dayton Ohio and that day was 11/20/20 and we have been clean ever since then. I completed that program and went to sober living got a job at chipotle and then a job working security when my sober living situation turned into a nightmare because of mold and broken toilets his ex wife let me move in with her and me and him lived in her basement as I continued working security and he was on disability we saved up and got our own place which we have now been in for three years and we gained custody of our two daughters back got a car and now living a amazing life. I’ve worked a few different jobs and then my health went bad and I’ve recently had a few surgeries and in the past couple years my husband has had the same problems back surgery and recently last month he had open heart surgery but the key is NO MATTER WHAT WE NEVER USED WE HAVE REMAINED CLEAN !! It works if you work it. This is just a short recap of the last 4 yrs next month we will have 4 YEARS CLEAN.
