Sanrio Cafe in Ikebukuro, Tokyo

located inside sunshine city alpa, the sanrio cafe offers both to go and dine-in. the cafe decor is adorable and everything is sanrio themed down to the napkins & the straws. dining alone? the cafe is full of sanrio plushies and the staff will let you choose one to be your date 🥰 the cafe has character themed burgers, pancakes, latte art, cream soda, smoothies and desserts. i ordered a hello kitty shrimp burger that came with fries and a pom pom purin mango smoothie. it was delicious and soo cute + it was only 2100¥ (~$15). on the to go side you can order character themed dojima (roll cakes), crepes, ice cream, cakes, donuts or a hello kitty pork bun. they also have merch exclusively sold at the cafe. whether your fave is cinnamoroll, my melody, hello kitty, kuromi, keroppi, pom pom purin, hangyedon, pochacco, gudetama or badtz maru- they've got something for you at the sanrio cafe! 💖
