Glass surfaces get dirty very quickly, especially when you're living with small kids. I know this too well because my house is full of them, my kitchen cabinets and staircase are all made of glass.

I used to buy glass cleaners on the regular because I would finish them up so fast. But not anymore! After trying this easy DIY cleaner recipe I found on Youtube, I am happily saving money and reducing health risks by saying goodbye to these ammonia-based glass cleaners 😉

All you need is a spray bottle, equal amounts of distilled water and white vinegar, and a few drops of peppermint essential oil to mask the smell of vinegar. Make sure to shake well before cleaning and use a microfibre cloth to prevent streaks. From my experience, the results are amazing for a cheap DIY solution!

And for an added bonus, this solution also works as an ant repellent too. Ants dislike the vinegar and peppermint smell and it masks their pheromone trail 👍🏼
