studying in the uk??🇬🇧🇬🇧

hi guys!!

as you all may or may not know, i’d chosen to complete my education in the uk. i thought this video might give insight to what it might be like to study here for anybody who is considering coming!

my uni town is a relatively small one, so it’s easy to get around. but for bigger cities like london, this will differ!

i usually meal prep every day, but it’s not shown in the video because it was filmed during my first week back. but cooking your own food every day saves so much money especially since eating out is so much more expensive here. i take the bus every day as well (NO UBERS) because it’s pretty convenient and saves money. my university has a pretty good selection of food as well, so if i don’t have packed lunch i have no qualms eating on campus.

when i first moved here, it took a while to get used to it because singapore is such a small place and it’s easy to get my parents to drop me off and pick me up (as spoilt as that sounds). But university overseas has really taught me to be self reliant — which is something i admittedly would not have chosen to walk the path on in the comfort of my house.

i do highly recommend going overseas to further your education if you have the opportunity to! it taught me a lot of life skills i wasn’t able to learn in the comfort of my own home. i also became significantly more independent. it’s an experience that really does teach you a lot about the world.
