One of the most exciting things about CNY is getting dressed up in traditional outfits & making sure you and your partner look great together. As this is our first time wearing matchy outfits for CNY as a married couple, I’m thrilled to share a few tips that I’ve learned a few months back when I was picking our outfits💛✨

💛Tip 1: Identify the skin tone

It's essential to understand your skin undertone. This will make it much easier to find the ideal color that complements your skin.

💛Tip 2: Choose the cutting based on body shape

My partner has a rectangle body shape, so he went for an oversized cutting to widen his shoulders. On the other hand, I have an inverted triangle body shape, so I went for a maxi cheong sam with a slit on the side to elongate my legs.

💛 Tip 3: Avoid pre-match CNY couplewear

I always try to avoid the chance of running into another couple that wears the same outfits🤢🤢 So instead of getting the pre-match CNY couple outfits from the marketplace, I picked our outfits individually and paired them together to create a unique matching look.
