this is what i think.

honestly logan was my favourite boyfriend, but rory got too much power being with him.

when logan’s dad told rory she didn’t have ‘it’, she was kinda knocked off her pedestal, but when she saw logan and honor and the boat, she felt like she was part of them and she was ‘invincable’.

i think that’s why she stole the boat, she didn’t think there would be any consequences since she was with LOGAN HUNTZBERGER.
