Today’s Prayer

My personal prayer for today.

Most every morning I ask God to help me make the best use of my time. Because every day it seems there’s so much to do—and so many distractions to keep me from it.

I love making to do lists and the feeling that comes from crossing things off, but I can get so task-oriented and frantic about getting it all done that I forget Jesus’ example.

He had (much more) important work than I do, but He was never frantic. And He didn’t ignore the needs of people around Him so that He could carry out the work His Father gave Him. Loving and serving others WAS His mission. And it’s ours.

God, help me show others what You are like by prioritizing LOVE over lists. 🙏🏻
