cool hair up-do idea🫶🏻

looking for a funky & edgy hairstyle? heres a tutorial on how i did my hair! 🥰 this hairstyle has been ALLLL over my pinterest, with people like kendall jenner and bella hadid rocking it. it took me a few attenpts to figure it out but i finally got it! heres how i did it:

STEP 1: PART HAIR

i sectioned my hair into half bcos i want to small buns. you can skip this step if u wish to only have a singular bun!

STEP 2: TWIRL

just like a normal bun, i twirled my hair all the way and wrapped it into a bun

STEP 3: LEAVE STRANDS OUT

this is the part where things get slightly tricky. after twirling and wrapping it into the bun, i make sure that i wrap it enough such that there is excess strands of hair sticking out (basically just dont wrap it all the way!) after positing the strands such that they are sticking upwards, i tie the bun with a regular hair tie, excluding the hair strands sticking out

STEP 4: PIN & GEL

now that u have the hair strands sticking out, they may look like droopy and not like how u had expected it. dont worry!!! i simply positioned each hair strand individually and pinned them down. since they are droopy, i used hair gel to position them further so that they would stick upwards!

repeat on the other side and you’re done❤️❤️❤️ i chose to leave my fringe out to frame my face, but you could choose to do a slicked back look instead! many many varieties u could do heheh
