How to do Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando in 1 day:

🪄 Get a 2-park ticket. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is divided between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure parks.

🪄 Diagon Alley, the Knight Bus, and 12 Grimmauld Place are located in Universal Studios. You'll take the Hogwarts Express between parks. Hogwarts and Hogsmeade are located in Islands of Adventure.

🪄 Stay at one of the Universal Orlando Resort hotels to get early entry to the park. We stayed at Endless Summer Surfside Inn & Suites. Only Islands of Adventure had early entry the day we were there.

🪄 We did the new Hagrid’s Motorbike ride right away because it usually has the longest line. It was actually a pretty thrilling roller coaster which I loved! My daughter did not love it as much, but says she wants to try it again next time we go.

🪄 We also went to Olivander’s in Hogsmeade to choose a wand for Pippa. She picked Professor McGonagall’s, or rather, the wand chose her!

🪄 We did most of the rides in the morning since the lines got longer as the day went on.

🪄 We did not have an express pass, as they were as expensive as the park ticket by the time we went to purchase them. Yes, we waited in lines, but we still managed to do everything we wanted to do.

🪄 make sure to take some time to just wander through Diagon Alley- the shops, the interactive spells, the butterbeer (more coming on that soon) is all so detailed and true to the books and movies. I also love the Three Brothers play, so be sure to stop and watch it!
