Hi friends,

to date this is my favorite #diyhomeimprovement our #stocktankpool and we are now selling it so let me know if you have questions and are interested in purchasing it.

I highly recommend starting in spring so you’re not sweating like I did. This is part one I’ll have a part two and three later so be sure to save an follow! 🦩🏊🏼‍♀️🌴

I sourced an 8 foot stock tank from Tracker Supply it was about $400. Sample of acrylic paint from Home Depot as well as a variation of spray paint colors for the pool now you can do a solid color you can do the same stripe color really this is up to you, but the process is the same. I also got 4 inch painters, tape and 10 cans of white matte spray, paint, matte, protective spray paint, and two cans of matte black spray paint. You’re ready to start.

step one:

if possible, please, your stock tank poor on something that can support it without warping it above ground so you are not breaking your back. I had two wine barrels. I began by spray, painting the exterior, all white, then spray painting the white protective coating.

step two.

once step one is dry, begin taping stripes with painters, tape around the pool. Start with desired colors and begin painting each stripe that color once complete and dry. Pour painters tape off and spray paint with spray paint enamel protective coating.

step three

level off the area for your desired location for stock tank pool. Make sure it is level. You’re going to need help for this. Make sure you place it in the location that you want it to begin the next step.

Step four

Spray paint interior, walls of stock tank, pole, white. Purchased stencil online for use on the bottom of the pool using the stencil taped to the bottom of the pole beginning in the center of the pool cover the rest of the pool in cardboard to avoid overspray, and begin spraying bottom of the pool with stencils in place. Repeat until it is completed (this will take the most time).

step five

with a disposable cup and black spray paint along with a small brush, spray, black spray paint and 2 cup use the paint brush and dip brush into cup. Using the brush begin to add decor elements I wanted my pool to say No diving and had some flowers to it. Once I completed that and it was dry again, I used the protective enamel and spray painted it throughout all the interior of the pool.

And that takes care of the painting portion of the pool stay tuned for Part Two!

If you have questions let me know below and I’ll get back to you!

Xoxo Marissa
