is marquee nightclub worth your money? 🍾

everyone has definitely heard of marquee nightclub at least once, but has everyone actually visited it before? let me save you the $ and give you my honest review of whether marquee is worth your money.

when i first heard of marquee, it was publicized to be this HUGE club with a ferris wheel and slide inside — what's not to like about that? but if you've actually been to marquee, you'd know the truth of all the glitz and glamour, isn't as good as it seems. here's two key questions and my honest thoughts:

(1) are tables and entry fee overpriced?

these are just the two main things since it's how you can get into the club in the first place. while you can have guestlist, you have to have good connections to do so - but otherwise, the price of the entry fee and table is already pretty expensive. it's a little pricier in comparison to other clubs like zouk ($50++ for girls) but since marquee always has guest DJs coming in, the prices can be even higher sometimes. so yes — i think it's overpriced! only worth it if you can get in for free, but even then, the drinks are super expensive (just think of it this way: 10 plum shots at marquee costs $200..)

(2) is there enough space?

if you've seen photos online like this one, you'll think that marquee is super big since it's two floors, has a ferris wheel, and slide. but in reality, it's not that big and always crowded. you barely have room to walk around if you're on the dance floor since it's quite small, unless you have a table. furthermore, you'll often find yourself queuing for the ferris wheel and slides during peak hours, when you could be spending that time elsewhere or drinking. so while it may look big from the outside, it's pretty small and you might be better off going to other clubs where it's just flat ground all around anyways.

overall, it's a fun experience if you go with the right group of friends and drink enough before going in, but i wouldn't recommend buying drinks inside or paying for the entry, unless you were able to get it for free.
