Easter 🐰 Scone Recipe :
Occasion & Ingredients
1 & 3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoons salt
1/3 cup frozen butter (see additional notes)
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 cup blueberries
Glaze:
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 tablespoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Wisk until smooth . Set aside until ready to use
Additional tips/notes:
I use a cheese grater for the butter, so frozen butter is much easier to work with .
Mix all dry ingredients together and grated butter, milk, lemon zest & mix until moist. Gently fold in blueberries and mold into a ball. Flour surface and pat into a circle . Cut into 8 wedges , lightly grease and flour pan. Brush with milk and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake 400 degrees or until golden brown . Cool slightly and drizzle glaze.
