Bearded Dragon Facts

Adopting a bearded dragon changed my view on reptiles completely!! This is Mushu, he is a 3 year old beardie who I adopted in May. He has a BIG personality and isn’t afraid to tell you how he feels. Here are some facts about him that varies from Beardie to Beardie!

🍔Favorite Food: Arugula

🤢 Refuses to eat: Spinach

♥️ Things he loves: Head pets and Sitting in the window

😡 Things he hates: Going back in his tank and when you turn his lights on in the morning to wake him up

💕 Favorite activity: Scaring his sister (a Great Dane)

📒Notes:

-Bearded Dragons do not need to drink water, they get all nutrients from their veggies.

-Beardies get stressed easily! They turn to darker colors when they are upset, and lighter colors when they are comfortable (or happy). Any change may stress them out, each Beardie is different depending on personality!

-They only really need bugs often as babies and juveniles, once they are full grown they eat mostly just veggies!! Bugs are a treat.

-Do not peel their shed, it can hurt them. Warm baths help for the shed to come off easier.

-Beardies like to watch TV, don’t be afraid to put them in a room where people are around often because they enjoy watching!
