SOY MARINATED CRABS @ THE GOGIJIP

This is my second time having ganjang gejang (soy marinated crab) at this restaurant and I’m still absolutely terrified by how delicious the crabs are 😭🤤

Ngl the crabs aren’t as big as the ones I had in Korea but this is significantly cheaper than the ganjang gejang meal I ordered in Korea.

For $29sgd, you have 1 crab, 1 soup and 5 sides. Might I add that the sides are refillable! For a Google review and a post on your social media, you are entitled to one free soft drink. Not to forget, you can grab a free ice cream on your way out!

Definitely affordable at the price of $29 for a crab lunch set. For the marinated crabs itself I give it a 5/5, I personally love seafood and it was very yummy to say the least. It can however come off as very salty if you eat it alone so always try to pair it with rice!

We ordered the extra steamed egg for $10 and it was also quite salty by itself so we paired it with rice! I’m giving it a 3.6/5 because I personally like silkier steamed egg in those caifan stores 😋

Overall, we spent about $80sgd (inclusive of gst) for 2 lunch sets and an additional steamed egg!

🛋Ambience & thoughts:

I really like the atmosphere as it’s almost reminds you or an actual Korean restaurant just missing the cold weather! Besides that, after coming here in the afternoon and evening, I prefer the evening atmosphere where it’s more lively and happening.

Additional tips:

1. 🦀Don’t wear WHITE if you’re planning on eating the crabs

2. 🕰️ I don’t think you can make a reservation so do come earlier to queue for the dinner timings!

3. 💰Come with more friends to split the cost as the food is really generous and filling
