Sometimes, all you need for a financial glow up is to stop buying things you don't need or overpaying for your needs. Here are some things I stopped buying/overpaying for to have a financial glow up.

1. Bottles Water - Don't get me wrong, I love buying the occasional Fiji water for the aesthetic during vacation (and reusing it of course). But unless you're at a concert or event where you can't bring in outdoor beverages, you should start using putting your Hydroflask or Stanley Cup to use.

2. Brand Name Food - There's definitely exceptions to this - but when it comes to a can of corn or some dry pasta, there's no need tp buy "top shelf" products

3. Brand Name Meds - such as Tylonel and Advil. You can buy the generic acetaminophen or ibuprofen instead since the ingredients are 100% the same

4. Expensive Makeup - I'm talking about brands like Tarte or Anatasia. I promise you don't need a $40 mascara, and there's plenty of drug store ones that work just as well. Unless there's a sale, stick to a more affordable brand like L'Oreal.

5. Expensive Body Creams - i know the TRULY body butters are insanely addicting, but there WAY better (and probably cleaner) lotions and creams you can use

6. Designer Clothing - You don't really need that Coach bag - but if you must, check out a Coach Outlet. A $1000 Canada Goose coat? I wish I never heard of her.... you get the point.

7. Fancy gym memberships - You don't need that $200/month membership. Take advantage of Planet Fitness or Crunch for $10/month or workout from home. I personally pay $45/month for the university rec centers, but that's because of convenience and i go 5-6 times per week.

8. TV subscriptions - Have you seen the prices lately. Although my phone plan is a bit pricey (only plan that worked in my hometown), it included Disney Plus, Hulu, AND ESPN +. With an expensive service like YouTube TV, the subscription is split 4 ways between my roommates and I.
