Italy Diaries- PISA

This portion of the day was honestly rough haha I was probably swayed by the fact I hate crowds and it was 100 degrees but we were so close it would have been silly not to go! It was also an easy stop before Lucca so it worked out for us.

We took the train from Florence Santa Maria novella station (important bc there is another Florence train station we ended up being at another night due to cancelled trains and it was about an hour walk away because it was too late for a taxi our fault hahahah but this one is right in town so go to smn)

First stop into Pisa was filling our water bottles then heading to the cathedral. We stopped for souvineers first before we made our way into the crowds of arms up for our pics and then we walked around for a bit.

You can do tours and climb up the tower but again we just weren’t in the mood hahaha

We ended up eating right around the corner because we were just starving and it was great food cold drinks and a bit of a fan not ac but did the trick. I mean a woman passed out from the heat so it was seriously hot.

Then we walked back to catch the train to Lucca. On the walk back we were actually interviewed for someone’s scavenger hunt which was funny.

Overall Pisa was a good stop off the bucket list but not my favorite. We also didn’t spend a ton of time there and maybe it’s just me but a subway sandwich shop next to the leaning tower wasn’t exactly a romantic Italian moment you see in the movies HAHAH I mean I’m not excepting it to be right we absolutely stopped at Burger King on the way back from the train station in Florence but you know what I mean the vibes are off😂😂

Next stop will be a day in the life in Florence where we spent the majority of our time! I love Florence and have been there before but it’s one of my favorite cities so we really wanted to spend a lot of time there this visit! #italytravel #pisa #pisaitaly #ootd #italyoutfits
