UGC has been talked about a lot lately and most of the time it is portrayed to be really easy and simple. Record a video and send it in, but it actually requires a lot more behind the scenes from a UGC creator. Sometimes, it can be very time consuming! Here are some things that people DON’T talk about when it comes to daily UGC creator work.

🌸Brand Pitches: These can take a decent amount of time. The best way I have found to do it is to pick a couple of brands you want to pitch to and write down what you want to provide for them. Incorporate this in each outbound you send to make it more personal for each brand. The less generic it sounds, the better chance you have of response!

🌸Negotiating: This was actually one of the harder things to learn for me! Negotiating and getting comfortable with money can be hard for a lot of us. This is such an important skill for UGC.

🌸The process: Believe it or not, we don't just pick up our phone and start filming. There is planning before each video is made. Not only that, the scripting and editing also take up a lot of time. It isn't as quick to make one video as it looks! Staying organized has helped me in UGC SO MUCH!
