Back with another cafe hopping series and this time I was around the CBD area with my friend. I decided to head to Little Oasis at Everton Park for brunch - itβs approximately a 6 mins walk from Outram Park MRT!
π Blk 3 Everton Park, #01 -79, Singapore 080003 [Opens from 9am β 5pm (closed on Mondays and alternate Sundays)]
π Nearest MRT Station β Outram Park
CafΓ© Vibes: βοΈβοΈβοΈ
π Little Oasis is nestled within the the old neighbourhood with lots of mature estates. Just like how the name βLittle Oasisβ resonates with the community that it was established in, this cafe is relatively small and cramped. Nothing fanciful, a very plain and classic underrated cafe hidden at a corner ground floor unit in Everton Park.
Food: βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
ππ Hearty Soba With Lemon Herb Sous Vide Chicken Breast (SGD $14)
π₯― Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Bagel (SGD $16)
π« Iced Dark Chocolate (SGD $6.50)
Little Oasis offers handcrafted goodness through artisanal cakes, wholesome healthy eats and beverages. So I decided to go healthy and ordered the Hearty Soba With Lemon Herb Sous Vide Chicken Breast. Iβve also added a sous vide egg for $1. Overall, Iβll rate this dish a 7/10 - the tomatoes were not fresh and had a weird taste, nothing special about the edamame and soba but chicken breast won my heart π₯Ήπ. The texture of the soba was simply perfect, very soft and melted in my mouth.
My friend ordered the bagel and gave it a 6.5/10. The smoked salmon was fresh and delicious, however the cucumbers were not that fresh π₯. I personally feel that the cafe should focus more on freshness of ingredients used especially when it offers such hearty mains π
Nothing special about the iced dark chocolate but it was too diluted when it was served to us. The chocolate tasted really blend too, itβs a 4.5/10 π
Service: βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
Despite all that, the service here was commendable! We got an outdoor seat at first; but the service staff offered us indoors once the tables were cleared, after he saw us perspiring so much due to the humidity. The initiative and kind gesture of the service staff really deserved a 10/10 - top class customer service although it is a small neighbourhood cafe π―
Overall: βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
I feel that if you are around the corner of Outram Park, you may give Little Oasis a shot and try out some hearty meals. However if youβre in the East/West side of SG, you may want to reconsider paying a visit just to dine here. There are certainly way more cafes out there in SG that are more worthy to visit. With that, stay tune for more of my cafe-hopping contents! π₯°
