Before & After: NYC Bedroom 🛏️

Throwing it back to my very first rental apartment in NYC. 🙊 It was the typical white shoebox, but I got lucky with a (relatively) large bedroom. I wanted to make it feel warmer but still keep a clean neutral look.

The bed is a CB2 Acacia Platform Bed that I bought secondhand. It’s now one of my most prized possessions and I love how it comes with built-in shelves so I’m able to save money on not having to buy bedside tables. I framed a picture I took above the bed and pulled in the colors of the picture onto the bed via a throw pillow and white linen duvet.

To make the most use of the room, I added a corner workspace setup that brings some brighter and warmer colors. I started with a framed sunset picture, pulled those colors into my plants, and repainted an IKEA desk with cream chalk paint.
