EVENT EXPERIENCE as a smol content creator 🌸☁️💖

while I’ve been creating content for a while now on different platforms & thankfully been scouted by agencies/opportunities, one daunting aspect of content creation is STILL attending events as a rly SMOL creator 😭 thankful for the opportunities that lemon8 gave me!! 🤍 so while covering what went down at this event, I wanted to also share my experience which might be relatable to other small creators like me! 😚

CLINIQUE EVENT 💖 ———

✧ for their launch of pink honey lippie & brand day on 23 may for lazada!

✧ collaboration with goodtotes for an exclusive collection (super cute pink pouch!!)

✧ stations-based, there were 5 to learn more about the products, try them out, spin the wheel to get freebies, kombucha & bakes, photo opps!

✧ main products were moisture surge, cheek pop & almost lippies

✧ held at lazada one which was a cozy event space

WHAT I LIKED 😚 ———

✧ whole place was decorated so well & it was just such a cute space

✧ interactive booths to learn more & have fun!

✧ the scones & kombucha were AMAZINGGGG I am still thinking about it…

✧ door gifts were so cute my fav was the pink pouch hehe~ excited to try more clinique products too

MY EXPERIENCE 😬 ———

✧ I always have imposter syndrome at such events that involve bigger creators who have been in the scene for a rly long time! as someone who only started recently & is still navigating her direction with content, it is honestly intimidating!!

✧ had a first day of transfer school vibe while everyone already knew one another.. but thankfully I had my friend & another acquaintance from my agency!

✧ it still scares me to talk to bigger creators cause they already had their friend groups but some of them are rly friendly hehe would smile at you & are open to conversations once you approach them!! I rarely do cause idk if they’re okay with being disturbed 😭 but I tried today and I got to meet someone I rly liked the content of!!

✧ even as an extrovert I’d have thoughts like “what if they don’t rly wna talk to me?? like I’m just this extra person trying to join in” but I realize over time that maybe I myself was having my rbf because I was so scared!!!

✧ though I was there through lemon8 I didn’t rly know other lemon8 creators so it was kinda scary too ;-; (if anyone wants to make friends.. please hit me up I would love to…)

✧ overall, I think I still get scared at events but attending more do help!! & afterall I personally rly love events in general so am looking forward to more in the future!! hopefully I get to come out of my shell & make new friends!!
