here’s where POPULAR KOREANS shop! 🇰🇷👖😎

according to my korean friend, a recent trend/term in korea is 홍대병 (hongdae disease): which refers to how teens nowadays are obsessed with fashion/dressing like “hongdae kids” - because they’re known to be super trendy & fashionable! 🤭 they are also known as 인싸s (insiders aka popular kids/those with huge social circles/influencers!) 🤩 she told me that this is where they shop, & all of those who are well-versed with hongdae fashion shop here, at least owning a few pieces! it’s almost like singapore’s obsession with uniqlo!!! 😏

POPULAR AMBASSADORS 😉 ———

this brand has newjeans, yoo ah in, sandara park, leejung lee, bam bam & seunghoon lee as it’s ambassadors! they rly got all the popular & fashionable powerhouses to represent the brand 😗 we all know that newjeans has probably one of the largest influence as of now since their songs & styles are popular ALL OVER the world!! with a collection specially curated after having newjeans as their ambassadors it’s no doubt that this brand is super popular rn! 😉

HUGE STORE INTERIOR 😝 ———

the branch I visited at hongdae had 2 storeys & it was super clean & pretty! i especially loved the second floor where there was a walkway with a huge mirror ☺️ saw many couples taking their OOTDs there which was cute 🤍 the clothes are also well arranged, with different selections at different areas such as sale, seasonal, basics, gender based! loved that the sales assistants were all friendly but let you take your time to walk around & shop!!!

KOREA’S UNIQLO? 🤔 ———

just like how you can find many singaporean guys wearing basics from uniqlo, this brand was similar in the aspect of how popular it is for their basics! their clothes were of good quality & stylish 🥹 I found that they have quite a wide array of colours as well, which made it easy to style!! just note that there aren’t any “LOUD” clothes but really those simple & stylish clothes suitable for every day wear/work/dates 🤍

MY OPINION 😳 ———

while I do love looking at basic style clothes & clean/minimalistic looks, it was #NotForMe because I usually like more unique/cute/pretty looking clothes rather than basics/neutrals! which is also why I don’t really shop at uniqlo except once in a while~ but if you’re a neutral girlie/guy I think you’d love this shop!! it’s worth a visit because you’ll really see so many pieces that hongdae girls & guys are wearing 😝 p.s. if you aren’t heading to Korea any time soon, they do ship global too!!!
