Try this walking route in Kyoto!🇯🇵

Kyoto is a very walkable city, that is if you have the time!

We spent the whole day walking and really nice hidden finds, esp small little neighbourhoods, peaceful parks etc.

We stayed at Citadines Gojo, from here:

🐣Walked straight to Ninenzaka

You will have to cross the Kamo river bridge

Sight of Kamo river throughout the day is pretty!

🐣Ninenzaka

You can spend few hours here roaming the old town

Find the starbucks in old Machiya

Or just eat this super ramen: ichiren KYOTO

🐣Walk further away from the Ninenzaka area towards ROHM Theatre Kyoto Okazaki Park, there is a huge Tori gate here and also this book store with starbucks in it.

Best part though, we came across this guy selling home brewed Kyoto coffee from his truck in the park.

350yen and real good.

🐣We walked then on towards Tetsugaku No Michi

It like a stretch of rock pathways that you can walk and at the side lined with some cool souvenir shops.

Quite tranquil.

🐣Head towards 2 Ginkakujichō

Where you need to pay a small entrance fee

The “museum” here has areas filled with moss! and so pretty. Go up to the view point to see Kyoto views

🐣At this point, if you have energy, walk towards

Kyoto Gyoen National Garden

I still cant believe how big this garden is. The pathways are like massive, like expressway wide paths. Sunset time, the trees are beautiful.

It does take a long time to walk all, but is worth it! plus you can stop here and there to rest along the way.
