fun holidays to celebrate each season 🌞🌸🍂⛄️

I am a huge fan of romanticizing our daily lives and these silly random holidays are a great way to do so.

here are a few examples of ways I think you could totally play up one of these holidays and make it a whole thing 🕺🏽

march 1st: plan a solo trip day —

I am a huge fan of solo travel (20+ trips and counting) so I love this one! you could plan something as small as an afternoon of shopping in a nearby city or go all in on booking a backpacking trip to Europe, Southeast Asia or South America.

august 9th: book lovers day —

you could host a gathering at your home or a local spot. everyone brings a copy of their favorite book (you could either pick a genre or leave it open ended). everyone can take turns explaining why it’s their favorite book. then you can do a book exchange and swap books to take home to read.

october 1st: international coffee day —

of course you must start out by getting your morning coffee at your favorite local coffee shop. but to give thanks to these cafes, you could make some posts on social media to show them some love. perhaps you do an instagram album of your top favorites and tag them all. you could also leave google / yelp reviews. you could buy a bag of beans to brew at home. or purchase gift cards and pay it forward to a few loved ones.
