A weekend in Seville

Seville, Spain is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, and definitely one you want to add to your travel itinerary. It’s the perfect short trip from Madrid.

Here are some of the best sites to include in a weekend visit:

• Royal Alcazar of Seville. This is one of the most popular attractions and can get very busy, so I highly recommend getting a ticket for one of the first time slots. Definitely buy your tickets online. It blew my mind how long the king was to buy tickets in person when you could easily do it online.

• Casa de Pilatos. This is an old palace covered in mosaic tiles. It is less popular than the Royal Alcázar yet equally stunning in its own right.

• Plaza de España. By far my favorite spot in Seville. I came here every day just to wonder and take photos. You can rent row boats and go through the canal.

• Parque de Maria Luisa. This park neighbors the plaza and is perfect for a sunset bike ride.

Cathedral of Seville. This is in the heart of town and you can't miss it!

• Barrio Santa Cruz. This is the old town, filled with stunning tiny streets, tapas restaurants, and churches.
