Newbie here! pls help

I've seen countless makeup tutorials raving about how amazing pomade is for achieving flawless brows, but my attempts so far have been a little less than perfect.

My brows are naturally sparse and patchy, and I was hoping pomade would be the answer to my brow woes. But between the weird waxy texture and the tiny brush that seems to deposit way too much product at once, I'm feeling a bit lost!
