Bottle Feeding Must Haves 🍼

I went into motherhood with zero expectations on feeding. I didn’t have a strong desire to breast feed and I think in a way that was a subconscious way of preparing myself for not being able to once my son was born. I tried exclusively pumping so he could still get the colostrum and nutrients from my breast milk but I could never get a supply going. He also was on a feeding tube in the NICU his first week of life. They were able to feed him what I was able to pump through the tube and we eventually got him to be able to feed from the bottle. Because of our birth experience , we became an exclusive bottle feeding family early on and by necessity. These are all the products we used and loved for bottle feeding.

🍼 Boppy Feeding Pillow: we fed our son on his side as we were instructed to do in the NICU and a feeding pillow was so helpful to keep him in the side lying position

🍼Snuggle Me Lounger: once he got older and was able to hold the bottle himself we used the lounger to lay him in for a cozy spot for feedings

🍼Baby Brezza Formula Pro: this made making formula bottles so quick and easy. It dispenses the exact amount of formula and warm water based on the size bottle you want to make. Basically a nespresso for bottles. This isn’t necessary but we were so glad to have it!

🍼Baby Brezza Sterilizer: bottle washing was never ending and this sterilizer made the process a little bit easier. Loved how much can fit in it and how efficient it was at sterilizing and drying all the bottle parts.

🍼 Dr Brown’s Glass Bottle: my son started using these in the NICU so we continued when we got home. Love that they have a glass version and they really did help with his gas/ colic.

🍼 ByHeart Formula: this is the formula we primarily used. We liked the clean ingredients and research behind it being very close to breast milk. It also had a subscription model so it would just show up exactly when we needed it each month and was one less thing to have to remember to go out and buy. They also now sell it at Target.
