if you’re thinking of travelling alone, here are some things you can do on your own in another country 🫶🏻

🤓 Have lunch with a stranger

I’ll probably make another post on how to make friends while solo traveling, but spending time with a stranger can really give you another perspective on life. You also get to learn about how people on the other end of the world life. Trust your gut instinct, not people, but also step out of your comfort zone (for introverts like me😅)

🩵 Go to local events

When you’re alone, it’s a lot easier to be less shy. I got my photos taken at Seoul Fashion Week, so that was super cool! I also participated in allll their activities and got lots of free stuff + learned about various local brands.

🤳🏻 Take pics of yourself!

As a solo traveller, I do believe that you’ll reach a certain point where you’re no longer shy/afraid others will judge you because you’re alone in a city. No one will remember you, so make as many memories as you can.

👁️ People watching

I feel this is something you can’t really fully immerse yourself in unless you’re alone. Go to a local place, sit down with some food and allow yourself time to zone out. The way people come and go… and you’ll never see them again.

🗻 Climb a mountain

I always go for hikes whenever I’m solo traveling, and there’s just something very special about doing it on your own. I allow myself to fully immerse into the air up there, far away from my worries and struggles I have back home.

Of course, there are lots of other things like shopping/cafe hopping etc. but I thought I’d list down some of the most memorable moments that I found very special during my solo trips ⭐️
