Romantic Dark Academia Outfit Idea

This month, I'm headed back to school and couldn't pass up the chance to plan some dark academia inspired fits. Here's my romantic-inspired dark academia outfit idea:

Blazer — Blazer looks are my favorite styles to wear in general; they're the perfect blend of chic and “I mean business.” This blazer is from Ralph Lauren.

Blouse — This may not be everyone’s style, so feel free to change and adapt based on your own preferences, but I absolutely love an “extra” blouse. I love the frills, the ties, and the statement collars and sleeves. There’s something about all the details that make it a very romantic piece, which again makes it perfect for academia. This blouse is also from Ralph Lauren.

Skirt — Originally, I had planned to wear a black mini skirt, but I wasn’t loving the lines it was creating. I wanted this outfit to be more flowy, so I went with this midi skirt from Philip Lim.

Shoes — Loafers for their timeless aesthetic and comfort for all-day walking. These are from Vagabond.

Sunglasses — To finish off a polished, classic look, I reached for these timeless Cartier shades. The pop of gold is a nice extra detail.
