Secret Bookstore Café in Boston

The Beacon Hill Books and (speakeasy) Café is a must-see this season if you are planning a lunch in the city.

To find the entrance to the bookstore, look for the squirrel sign. This is the infamous Paige of Beacon Hill Squirrel. There is an adorable story that tells you all about Paige and her Beacon Hill Bookstore!

The Beacon Hill Bookstore Café is hidden underneath the bookstore. You must enter through a brick tunnel-way on street level.

There is one step up and into the tunnel and the clearance is about 5ft in height. Even I, at 5’3” needed to duck down and in to enter the tunnel to walk towards the café. It could easily be missed or mistaken for an old apartment entryway to a passerby.
