Guideline on giving Duit Raya

✨Duit Raya is a tradition in Malaysia during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr. It is customary to give small amounts of money (usually in the denominations of RM5 or RM10) to children and unmarried adults as a token of goodwill and blessings for the new Islamic year.

✨ The amount of Duit Raya given varies depending on one's financial capability, but it is considered a generous act to give more.

👰🏻‍♀️Wife: As much as you can

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Daughter/Son: RM50

👼🏼Nephew/Niece: RM20

👶Cousin’s Daughter/Son: RM10

👯‍♀️Friend’s Daughter/Son: RM3

🤷🏼‍♀️Not Related: RM1
