✨ I always have leftover breads after best before date and it is very wasteful to throw away the bread once the mould grows.
✨ This is how i started an idea to bake a bread pudding but i do not own a oven. From using an oven, i use microwave instead. Easy bread pudding with mixture of eggs, milk, sugar, and other flavorings, and then baked until it is set and golden brown.
✨ Here is a simple recipe for making bread pudding:
🌱 Ingredients:
🌻3 slices of stale bread, cut into cubes
🌻1 cups of milk
🌻1 eggs
🌻2 TBsp cup of sugar
🌻1 tsp of vanilla extract
🌻 Few raisins/Chocolate Chips (optional)
🌱 Instructions:
🌼 In a bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
🌼 Add the bread cubes to the mixture, making sure they are all coated with the mixture. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, allowing the bread to absorb the liquid.
🌼 Take a clean bowl and place baking paper.
🌼 Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth out the surface with a spatula.
🌼 Don’t forget to sprinkle raisins/chocolate chips every layer if using.
🌼 Place the bowl in microwave for 6 minutes using medium temperature , or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.
🌼 Remove from the microwave and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
🌼 Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
✨ Bread pudding can also be customized with different toppings, such as chocolate chips, nuts, or caramel sauce, to suit your preferences. Enjoy!
