best thai food i’ve ever had

so one of my frens who’s a chef actually recommended me this authentic thai restaurant near my house. As a longtime fan of thai food, I actually doubted it would be that good because I have really high standards for Thai food. But wah, this place really surprised me so much.

Our drinks came first and we ordered the Thai Milk Tea and Thai Iced Coffee. I’m a coffee hater and even I enjoyed the coffee. It was super rich and creamy and wasn’t too bitter. 9/10. For the Thai Milk Tea, the asian in me was screaming YES because it wasn’t overly sweet and had a super fragrant tea taste. 8/10

For the food, my Basil Pork Rice was pretty good. It had the charrred wokhey taste and was a little sweet. My inly ick was that it wasn’t spicy at all. 7/10

For the Pad Thai, it was damn solid. The noodles tasted so flavourful and had a good texture. The sauce was a little spicy and tangy but tasted so good. The prawns, however were a little overcooked but I will overlook that. 7/10

The last item we got was the Tomyum Soup. This was the most meh item out of everything. It had a LOT of seafood which was good but the soup tasted pretty normal. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t bad, but compared to the other items on the menu, this was just good and not AMAZING. 6/10

Overall, definitely will come back and try the other things on the menu because it was one of the most satisfying meals I’ve had in a while. The drinks are a MUST GET and definitely try the Pad Thai.
