If you love the beach but have a fear of the ocean (like me), Sydney has dozens of man made pools next to the ocean.

These are my favorites!

Bondi Icebergs Swimming CLUB

The most iconic ocean pool and picturesque spot. Open to the public with a $10 entry fee which gives you access to two pools, a sauna, changing rooms, and the cafe.

Bronte Baths

Built in 1887 and nestled into the side of a small cliff, free entry with lots of areas for sunbathing.

Mona Vale

A photogenic pool surrounded by the ocean on both sides with a smaller pool attached for kids.

North Curl Curl

Secluded and accessible via the beach at low tide and via a trail at high tide. (not a lap pool)

McIver's Ladies Baths

The only women-only rockpool in Australia meant as a safe space for women and children with a $2 entry fee.

Wylie's Baths

Next to Coogee Beach and McIver’s Baths with a raised deck for sunbathing and a $5.50 entry fee.
