I see a common misconception with babies and starting solids is that they don’t have teeth so they can’t eat solids, which is actually not true!

babies actually need 0 teeth to start baby led weaning! They don’t use their teeth to chew, they use their gums!

Their gums are hard enough to chew foods up, so no teeth are needed to go ahead and start baby led weaning!

It sounds crazy but after watching my baby eat solids I quickly realized he was chewing food up just fine with no teeth!
