There is some advice that is so main steam in society and here are some “tips” that BUGGG me but are told over and over.

“sleep when the baby sleeps” is so not helpful advice. if I slept when the baby sleeps my house would be filthy, laundry would not be done, dishes would pile up all over the kitchen. It is just unrealistic to always sleep when the baby sleeps.

“just let them cry it out” babies are not meant to sleep through the night and not need their mom or dad for comfort. I will never let me kids cry it out. If my baby needs me I will always be there

“are you breastfeeding?” this question is rude and nobody’s business. I get so bothered when a stranger will ask this. Breastfed or bottle fed my baby is healthy and growing and it is rude to ask someone this! But why is it so normalized?! 😩
