toddler valentines exchanges

I absolutely love the tradition of Valentine’s Day! Valentine’s Day parties in school are a core memory for me as kid 🥹 so I love doing this with my son!! We’ve had fun creating different boxes and coming up with cute exchanges to give out to each of his classmates.

The dinosaur box we made by wrapping 2 cardboard boxes in blue wrapping paper, hot gluing the small one on top of the big one, cutting out a chunk of the small one for the mouth and adding teeth with white construction paper, wrapping toilet paper rolls in blue wrapping paper and gluing on for the legs/feet, green construction paper for the scales, shaped aluminum foil as a tail and wrapped in wrapping paper, added googly eyes, and foam heart stickers.

The Donald Duck box we painted blue, used construction paper for his outfit & gloves (on the side), and then I traced Donald ducks face on computer paper, cut it out and colored it in. Use hot glue to attach everything.

One year we did hot wheels, I hot glued them on the bottom of each car and stuck on a card with a road across it. Each said “I’m wheelie glad we’re friends”. We did Burt’s bees chapstick for the teachers with cards that said “you’re the bees knees”

Last year we did Disney silly straws on cards that said “you’re ex-straw special!” & for the teachers we did target gift cards with a card that said “I hit the bullseye when I got you as a teacher!”
