One of my favorite gut-healthy, stomach-soothing, EASY desserts is always going to be STEWED APPLES!
When apples are stewed, they release a prebiotic fiber called pectin, which plays a huge role in digestion and balancing the gut flora. Stewed apples also produce short-chain-fatty-acids which help reduce inflammation in the gut.
If you tend to get bloated when eating high fiber foods and feel yourself avoiding them because if it, instead of avoiding them, try preparing them in more gut-friendly ways:)
Feel free to creative— add them to a salad, bowl, yogurt, oatmeal, ice cream, or simply snack on their own! They also make amazing leftovers.
