Temple of the sun and moon 🌚 🌞

📍 Located in a remote region of Capitol Reef National Park, in Utah, it is only accessible through a dirty road part of the Cathedral Valley Loop.

📸 From the parking lot is a short 5/10 minutes walk to get to this exact photo spot. It may not be that easy to recognize from the distance but the closer you get the more you will understand you are in the right place. My personal suggestion is to bring with you a zoom lens to have more possibilities with the composition

🌅 Depending on the time of the year the best time to go may be sunrise or sunset. If you visit in winter I will recommend to go for sunset instead of sunrise for 2 reasons: the first is that at the sun won’t light up the rocks until late in the morning because it will be covered by the surrounding mountains (during spring/summer instead it will light them up at sunrise). The second reason is that is extremely cold in the morning in winter in Capitol Reef. If you visit in Spring or Summer, I will recommend Sunrise for the best light
