Hidden gem in the Southwest 🏜️🇺🇸

📍 Cathedral Gorge State Park, located in Lincoln County, Nevada, near the boarder with Utah and only 2 and a half hours drive from Las Vegas.

🏜️ The park is not that big and can be explored in half a day or in a full day if you decide to do some of the longer hikes. My favorite spots are Millers Point for sunrise/sunset and then I will suggest you to start exploring the slot canyon and the moon caves after that since the sun will start to light them up.

🌕 The slot canyons area is literally a maze, with lot of different entry points and the possibility of exploring them as you wish without having to follow a trail. They are divided into 2 main areas the Cathedral Caves and the Moon Caves which are closer to the entrance. Some of the canyons walls are more than 20 feet tall and they are absolutely incredible. Lot them may be a bit narrow but if want you can squeeze in and keep exploring the deepest parts of the canyons.

🕛 The best time to visit in my opinion is early morning, especially if you go in summer since it may get extremely hot.

🅿️ The parking area is quite easy to reach and the cost is 10 dollars if you are not from Nevada otherwise is 5 dollars. From the parking lot to the slot canyons is just a very short walk of less than half a mile
