I went WINE, HONEY AND COFFEE TASTING for FREE!🍷🍯☕️

Swan Valley is seriously my favourite place to go to when I visit Perth! The vibes there are just immaculate and the people are all so friendly and chill. Its a perfect getaway from the fast paced city life🙌🏻

TASTINGS:

1. The Margaret River Chocolate Company

Kid-friendly place with free chocolate tasting, but a very limited variety. They sell ice cream and drinks here too!! There is a winery right next door that provides free wine tasting!! Perfect to kill two birds with one stone😉

2. Yahava KoffeeWorks

You can get a free coffee tasting experience here where a guide takes you through the different notes of coffee and lets you taste them based on your personal preference. They even provide dairy free milk options to go with your coffee. Not only do they sell coffee beans, they also sell syrups to go with your coffee and have an in-house cafe. I highly recommend buying their french vanilla syrup to add to your coffee, I’ve already gotten many compliments for the coffee I made!! Not to mention the view outside Yahava is beautiful🤩

3. House of Honey

I didn’t take a picture of the inside but I looooved House of Honey!! There is free tasting of the super wide range of honey they have, I never knew honey could all taste so different🫢 Andddd if you have never tried Mead before, it is a type of alcohol made of honey and they provide a free mead tasting😚 Their Mead won me over a I bought myself a bottle of their Mulberry Mead!!

4. Wine Tasting literally everywhere!!

Finally!! I was too enamoured by the views around me that I forgot to take picture of the actual wine tasting places. But when I say literally, I really mean it. There are signs all along the road that say “wine tasting ahead” so look out for those and you’ll be sure to end up tipsy by the end of your visit to Swan Valley. If I remember correctly, we visited around 3-4 wineries!!

EXTRA THINGS TO DO:

1. The West Australian Reptile Park

For an admission fee of $15, this place really caught me by surprise. When we checked the website, it seemed very run down and old, but since we love an adventure, we decided to go anyways! When we arrived, there was really no one else there but that was what made the experience so amazing, we had a park all to ourselves! We had a super friendly guide teach us about the local reptiles and even got to touch and carry them🫶🏻After that we were free to roam the park on our own. The highlight was truly the Cockatoo at the entrance of the park which greeted us hello and bye and cried out each time we wanted to leave🥹

TIP:

- You definitely have to drive when visiting Swan Valley as the whole area is a 32km loop with no more than 150 attractions

- Get there early as businesses close very early in Aussie, by 5pm they tend to all be closed already🥲
