I Waited 4 Months For My Boyfriend

Now personally, I don’t think 4 months is that long, but most people in this generation do. Although, I will say that I began to grow *very* impatient at the 3 1/2 month mark.

Trust me, I’ve heard it all.

“How does it take that long to know if you wanna be with someone?” “I would’ve left after 2 months of waiting on him.” etc etc

But, it’s easy to know when it’s the right person and not the best timing and when you know, you know.

We met in June on Bumble and clicked immediately. We always wanted a relationship, but didn’t want to rush things because that’s all we ever did in our previous relationships and they obviously didn’t work out lol. (Which its crazy we didn’t want to rush, but we said the L word after 2 weeks hahah). But, at the time, he was going back to school, a college athlete, working, and he knew that he would be too busy to give me the time/attention that I deserved. This is something that I was totally fine with because I had a lot going on too. I was back to working, acting, and so much more. Plus, I wanted us to be able to establish the best foundation for our future.

In hindsight, 4 months went by SUPER fast. Most importantly though, that 4 months gave us more time to get to know one another, recognize each other’s ticks and how to handle them, enjoy each other’s company, and grow together. I wouldn’t change our journey for the world because 4 months went by faster than expected and now we’re happier than ever ❤️
