i recently came back from a spring trip to korea so i thought i will share my itineraries from my summer trip last yr and this spring trip so that anyone reading this can get some ideas for your upcoming trip to korea 🤩

last summer i went to korea for my grad trip with 2 different groups of friends so thats why this itinerary is abit longer, i will split it into 2 parts!

day 1 - mokpo

🛬 touched down in incheon at 10am & collected sim card

🚆 AREX to seoul station ~45mins

🚝 KTX to mokpo station ~2.5h

🏠 check in to white windmill guesthouse (gosh the slope to the guesthouse was INSANE, shld have just took a taxi)

🚶‍♀️sightsee at sihwa alley & mokpo skywalk

🍜 달밤포차 for dinner (super beautiful view overlooking mokpo bridge!)

day 2 - gwangju

🏠 check out of white windmill

🥐 breakfast at colombang (it's a famous bakery in mokpo)

🍝 walked around the area near mokpo station and had lunch at ON 온도

🚝 KTX to gwangju ~30mins

🏠 check in at hotel vantt

🚶‍♀️learnt about the democratisation in korea at jeonil building 245

🍚 dinner at 솔솥 첨단점 | Solsot Cheomdan Branch

day 3 - jeonju

🏠 checkout of hotel vantt

🥯 breakfast at BAGEL BAGEL BAGEL CAFE ( 베이글 베이글 베이글 브런치 카페) (highly reco!)

🚶‍♀️ walked around penguin mural village

🚝 KTX to jeonju (not the best idea as we had to change train at iksan and stand from iksan - jeonju as the train was so full, would be better to take a bus!) ~2h

🏠 checkin to hanok stay at nadle bang

🚶‍♀️ as the hanok was right in the middle of jeonju hanok village, we just explored the whole area in the afternoon

🍴dinner at 천년누리봄(전주효자시니어클럽,막걸리한상) (looooooooots of side dishes & makgeolli!)

day 4 - seoul

🏠 checkout of nadle bang

🍛 bibimbap lunch at Hangugjib as bibimbap is from jeonju!

🚝 KTX to seoul ~2.5h

🏠 checkin to our guesthouse at hongdae which i would not be recommending as it was too small and sussy

🥓 dinner at Hongik Sutbul Galbi (the kbbq place that was on weightlifting fairy!)

day 5 - hongdae & dongdaemun, seoul

🌯 brunch at mangwon market (quieter market as compared to gwangjang but maybe bcos we went on a monday, not many things were open)

🛍️ shopped around hongdae

🛒 continue shopping at nyu nyu (my friend wanted to go to dongdaemun market to buy beads but they were closed by late afternoon so if u want to buy, go in the morning)

🍜 dinner at Dongdaemun Yeopgi Topokki Dongdaemun MY LOVEEE 🫶🏻🫶🏻

🍻we wanted to have drinks at Zoo Sindang which was highly reco by our friends but the wait time was ~1h+ at 9pm and we had an early day the next day so we decide to skips! if u want to go, get a queue no. first then have ur dinner and it should probably be ur turn by the time u r done w dinner!)

day 6 - day trip to gangneung

🚝 KTX to gangneung ~2h (there are lots of food stalls above the platforms)

🌊 anmok beach

🍴 lunch at random restaurant along the beach

🍦ice cream at soontofugelato (gangneung is famous for tofu)

🚲 rented a bike to cycle around gyeongpoho lake

☕️ coffee at 초당옥수수커피 (got to see the singles inferno guy ahahah)

🚝 KTX back to seoul
