homeade chicken and dumplings 💛

had homemade chk and dumplings tonight for dinner and also just wanted to show pictures of my sweet babies 🫶🏼

1 container(4cups) chk broth in big pot

2lbs cut up chk in pot until boiling

when boiling cover and let cook for 10 mins

while cooking chicken put 4 cups or all purpose flour in big bowl

put three big dollops of crisco in flour and cut it into flour with a fork

when flour is crumbly make a well in the middle

pour 1 and 3/4 milk( i use whole) and mix together with your hand

once all together and in a ball roll out on a FLOURED flat surface until thin

put 1 stick of butter into pot and stir until melted

pour 1 container chk broth(4 cups) into pot of boiling chk

add your seasonings

add your dumplings SLOWLY let some cook for a min before putting in more or they will form together

when stirring poke dumplings into pot with spoon instead of stirring

once all the dumplings are added in cover with a lid ( i didn’t have a lid for my big pot so i used tin foil BE CAREFUL when lifting please 😂)

stir occasionally and once thickened or slightly thickened uncover and it’s done if it’s too thick you can add in water.🫶🏼
