Fitting everything in a tiny room with Taobao✨

Getting a new BTO means a smaller space compared to resale! Space is really limited so there’s actually not much that you can put in a room. Especially if you’re putting a full sized wardrobe!

Here’s what we managed to fit in our kid’s room:

• Full height wardrobe 1.5m*0.6m*2.6m

• IKEA trundle bed 2m*0.9m

• Study desk 1m*0.6m*1.4m

• Toy plastic storage 1.09m*0.33m*0.85m

• Book shelves x3 (behind door)

With the limited space we can only either choose a sliding wardrobe or get a casement door with smaller door panels.

We customised this wardrobe from taobao and the doors opens up just nice infront of the bed🎉 If you have not seen my post about this wardrobe, you can click here. A sliding wardrobe would’ve been better for a kid’s room in terms of safety since the door is very tall.

The study table and toy storage fits snug at the other side of the wall as well. Also included 3 tiered book shelves behind the door, which was difficult for us since the normal book shelves wouldn’t fit! Managed to source for acrylic shelves that fit and it’s aesthetic as well!❤️

Only slight regret that I had for this room is the study table as I am unable to fit A4 and assessment books on the table top 🥲 but all is solved with a file stand.
